Priyanka Chopra invests in dating app Bumble
Indian actress Priyanka Chopra will invest in the dating app Bumble as service prepares to expand into her native country later this year.
She will also act as an Advisor to Bumble app. Bumble’s app expansion comes as firms push to make women feel safe using dating app in India.
Bumble said Chopra will become “Advisor, Partner and Investor” to the tech firm.
"I've always believed that investing in women is key to social transformation and economic growth," Chopra said in a statement from Bumble.
"Women want love, they want friendship and they want to find a career, and that's the uniqueness of what Bumble delivers," Chopra added.
Chopra’s manager Anjula Acharia is also an advisor to Bumble.
Safety is the first concern while using the dating apps in India. Bumble is working on it to make the sure the safety for women’s in the dating apps.
Women Safety in India is still not good, so the fears about safety haven risen.
Bumble’s Competitors Company Tinder is testing a new feature in India that allows Female users to send their first message to a match.
Tinder said it wanted women to feel safe and comfortable.
More than 4000 people are working for the new feature like Photo, Id verification on Bumble to enhance safety.
